dummies' dilemma

  1. Everyone deems their own principles in this matter the most sound and just way of "dealing" with drinking or drugs or both for that matter. (this coming from someone who knows nothing about either.) Take smoking for example, people smoke knowing full well of their cancerous effects. How does this get justified in the mind? We need it, we want it, we like it, it makes us feel good, sexy, helps us loose weight, etc etc. All these reasons are means of justification for doing something harmful. But then again, I'm not an expert.
On the point about Rachel Ray and her empire of dumbness, well, she obviously didn't make the road map, but she has final say, and she should know better.
Good entry Doris! Welcome to the land of Bloginess. Sorry about the dentist, ouch.
